Bretton Baptist Church not only hold worship services, they also host a variety of activities and events for the entire community, regardless of faith. Warm Hub, coffee mornings, toddler play, indoor bowls and more are on offer.

What to expect

Bretton Baptist Church hold a number of regular activities and events for everyone in the community, of any faith or none. These include:

  • Bretton Lounge: a free, twice-weekly tea/coffee morning with homemade cakes, for all ages (there are toys for young children attending with parents). There are people who can signpost to local support services, and a variety of support organisations often attend, such as Healthy You, Healthwatch, and Woodgreen Pets Charity. Local councillors attend once a month and people can book sessions with them. In winter months this is a Warm Hub, offering soup and rolls at lunchtime.
  • Seedlings: a weekly afternoon stay and play session for babies and toddlers, including crafts, messy play, story time, singing, and snacks. Very low cost per child, check with them current amount
  • Indoor Bowls: no experience necessary! For people age 55+, low cost includes tea/coffee.

There are also faith-based activities, including regular Sunday services, a monthly Café Church with activities around a Bible theme including a free meal, a Youth Club and more.

What to expect

There is a dedicated car park at the entrance of the building off Woolgard Road, and street parking is available along Copeland Road. There are dedicated disabled parking spaces. There is a bus stop a few minutes walk away from the church that is served by Stagecoach bus 2 Paston – Bretton.

The building is wheelchair accessible and there are accessible toilets.

There is fenced, outside space for children to play.

Some of the activities, such as the Lounge and Café Church, are free.

Some activities, such as Indoor Bowls and Seedlings, have a low cost. Contact the church to find out details.
