TIG - Together in Grief

Back to Support

If you suffer from a loss of a person, job, relationship, pet, or anything else, join this informal social support group, where people can come talk in a safe space over a cuppa and biscuits, as well as the chance to take part in a wellness activity if you chose.

Meet Sharon, who leads TIG:

What to expect

Qualified Counsellor Sharon Bartlett has started Together in Grief, an informal social support group for people who have suffered any kind of loss - not only bereavement, but also loss of identity, a job, a relationship, or anything else.

Anyone can come, you can talk if you wish, or just share a space with others and enjoy a tea or coffee and biscuit. You don't need to talk about your loss until or if you are ready. Sharon generally leads some type of wellness activity during the session, such as gentle exercise, crafts, writing, meditation, and more; you can also take part if you choose, but you don't have to.

The sessions are on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at Bedford Hall in Thorney, from 10:30am - 12:30pm, though you don't have to stay the whole time.

You don't need to book, but you can talk to Sharon ahead of time if you would like to discuss anything or find out more about the group.

More information

Bedford Hall has a gravel carpark with free parking. There are a few steps but also a wheelchair ramp into the building, and accessible toilets.

Coffee/tea and biscuits are free, and most activities do not have a cost.

Some crafts may have a small charge, these are noted on the Facebook page or you can check with Sharon direct.
