Supporting New Dads – CPSL Mind

Back to Support

CPSL Mind supports new dads who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health challenges or are struggling to adapt to parenthood.

If you are struggling with your mental health during your partner’s pregnancy or after giving birth, then you can self-refer to this service, which includes:

  • Dads Matter An informal eight week course for dads who are experiencing mental health challenges, feeling socially isolated or struggling to adapt to becoming a parent. These courses take place face-to-face in Peterborough and Cambridge.
  • Peer Support Groups Monthly online meet-ups for dads via Zoom.

If you aren’t comfortable self- referring, you can ask a health professional to refer you instead (a GP, health visitor or midwife). There’s more information on the website as well as a referral form for you or a healthcare professional to complete.

There is also support for new mums that are struggling with their mental health from CPSL Mind – find out more here.

This support is free.
