Prince’s Trust Team Programme

Back to Support

Team is a 12-week personal development programme which enables 16-25 year olds out of work and education to gain a recognised Level 1 Qualification whilst developing their confidence, teamwork, and skills in job searching, resilience and communication in an informal environment.

Meet Phoebe, one of the Peterborough Team’s leads, and hear what some of the participants have to say about the course:

What to expect

Team is a free 12-week personal development programme in which you can gain valuable skills and experience, earn a qualification, and boost your confidence. The programme is designed to take your confidence sky-high and prepare you to take the next steps into work, education or training.

Here’s what you’ll get out of the Team programme:
  • Take part in an action-packed residential trip, where you’ll get to know the other people in your team.
  • Make a positive difference in your community by working together on a group project.
  • Get two weeks’ work experience in a profession or organisation that interests you.
  • Earn a nationally recognised qualification, and develop your English and maths skills.
  • Receive support to write a standout CV, and learn how to impress in an interview.

More information

Team is delivered by staff from Tresham College on behalf of the Prince’s Trust. Interested young people will need to contact them ahead of joining the new intake (which happens three times per year). Phone the numbers above or email [email protected] or [email protected]

To find the next course dates, click on this page, and in the ‘Where’ box tick ‘East of England’. Peterborough will be one of the options that displays.

The main Peterborough venue, ICA The Fleet, is easily accessible on local bus routes, with a large carpark, and is step-free.

The whole 12-week programme is free to attend, including the allocation of weekly local bus passes for all members who request support with travelling.

Members will be expected to bring/buy their own lunches every day, except during a 4-day residential in week 2, where all meals will be provided.

They are unable to support with travel needs outside of local Peterborough bus fares (trains, taxi fares, buses out of Peterborough, etc.).
