Gladca is a community hub and multi-cultural centre, especially supporting recently arrived migrants in Peterborough. They offer various immigration services, ESOL and functional classes, and other support like delivering food parcels to asylum seekers and refugees.

Gladca has been a community hub and serving the community for over five decades. Gladca extends a hand of welcome to people of all ages, genders, nationalities, abilities, cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds. It champions equality and diversity, and this is reflected in the different nationalities of service users and learners that have passed through its doors and the quality of service they receive.

Gladca promotes and fosters community cohesion and integration through a variety of support services, including:

  • English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL): Pre-entry, Entry 1, 2, 3; Level 1 & 2
  • Employability workshops (CVs and Resumes)
  • IT courses – digital devices, computers, internet access and use
  • Gladca immigration services - Expert advice and support: Visitor Visas, Spouse and Family Visas, ILR and Citizenship, Sponsorship guidance
  • Gladca welfare benefits advice - Universal Credit, PIP, ESA, Disability Allowance and more
  • Food parcels and supermarket vouchers

Digital Hub

Gladca has Digital Hub hours a couple of times each week, offering free Wi‑Fi, access to devices, and friendly support to help you get online. Drop in during the Hub hours to learn digital skills, access essential services, or get help using your phone, laptop or tablet. Phone or email them to find the current time.

Gladca also offer a variety of activities such as:

  • Gladca cricket club
  • Coffee mornings

Gladca have an open-door policy for anyone coming to access their services, or you can call 01733 566343 for more information.

The ground floor is wheelchair accessible. They do not have a car park, but there is always parking available on the streets around Gladca.

Anyone can access their services and they have no special requirements needed to visit the centre.

“Gladca is a friendly organisation and I have really enjoyed taking up the ESOL courses as this has given me the confidence to apply for jobs. I can now attend my children’s parent’s evenings and speak to the teacher.”

Most of their services are free of charge.
