Devika Care Day Services

What to expect:

Devika have created a Dementia Day Care Service, specifically for people who may no longer be able to access groups available in the community due to their health, with the aim to help people remain living at home for as long as possible and to protect their carers’ well-being.​

This is a paid for service, offering 5 hours of activities for people living with dementia. Everything is included such as lunch, snacks, drinks and activities.

Devika provide 1 fully qualified carer for every 3 people attending, plus volunteers and management staff to ensure everyone’s needs are met and most importantly, everyone is safe and enjoys themselves.

These Dementia Day Service sessions are held within Country Court Care Homes; in Peterborough, this is Castor Lodge. All of the homes are beautifully designed and the spaces for the services have a relaxed, warm and welcoming feel that are often described as not seeming like a typical care home.

The Dementia Day Centre is wheelchair accessible and has parking onsite for drop off and pick up. They also have accessible toilets. Food is provided and they aim to cater to any dietary requirements and also personal preferences.

Devika Care was founded by Caroline Ignatius, who was inspired to create this service following her own personal experience of supporting her mother Devika with Dementia.
