Back to Support

The Cambridge Women’s Resources Centre offers women from all backgrounds support to increase their employability and functional skills such as English and Maths, build confidence, deal with family and parenting issues, manage finance and debt, social and fun activities, and more.

The Peterborough Branch of CWRC is currently closed for refurbishment. Please check back for information about re-opening.

The Women’s Centre in Peterborough is a warm and cosy, safe space, with a garden, meeting rooms, coffee room, kitchen, group rooms, and one-to-one spaces for women only. It is easily accessible by bus, train, foot or bicycle from town centre.

There are various types of support and activities; some are group and some one-to-one. Everything is aimed to meet individual needs and help women move forward with small steps.

Staff can refer women to other agencies if needed, such as Care Zone and Aspire. They also help women interact with Probation officers and the Police, and can provide private rooms to meet them if needed. Staff can take women to other meetings and agencies if they need that reassurance or assistance.

There are also opportunities for women to volunteer, either at the CWRC or with partner agencies or other groups.

Women can drop in any time the centre is open, self-refer or be referred by any agency.

Visit their website for more information.

Everything at CWRC is free for women who need it.
