Cam Sight

Back to Support

Cam Sight runs monthly groups across Cambridgeshire for adults living with low vision and blindness, their carers, and their family members. The groups provide an opportunity to meet and share tips with others within the community with similar experiences.

Cam Sight offers:

  • Peer support groups
  • Benefits advice
  • Befrienders
  • Guides
  • Equipment advice

Groups meet on a weekday morning or afternoon for members to enjoy a range of different activities from guest speakers, entertainment, quizzes, and light refreshment. Members are kept updated on the newest equipment and support available from Cam Sight and other local and national organisations.

Visit their website for more information including the latest details on times and locations of group meetings.

You can also find opportunities to volunteer with them on the GO-ViP volunteering platform.

There is no membership fee for their support groups.

Cam Sight can advise on equipment and then source, should you choose to acquire something.

They hope you will find satisfaction in your role, whether that is helping to drive a blind or visually impaired person to their monthly support group, or as a befriender visiting a person in their home.

If you are interested in Volunteering for CamSight, please complete an expression of interest form through our website or email [email protected] to see what roles we have available.
