What to expect
The Wellbeing Garden is run by Cross Keys Homes (CKH), but is open to everyone, not just CKH residents. It is currently open every Wednesday 1pm-3pm and every Thursday 1.30pm.- 3.30pm.
You can help with all manner of tasks, from weeding and planting to some bigger building projects such as making bedding or other structures. You don’t need any gardening knowledge or experience.
The Garden is in the process of being made more accessible, but there is still some rough ground. There is a toilet on site. Sensible, weather appropriate, clothes and shoes for outside work should be worn.
Cross Keys Homes also offer free training and support for everyone, not just residents, across a range of subjects, including help getting into work and wider support. In addition they have a LifeLine emergency alarm, a community care service, and extra care and retirement housing solutions. See our webpage for more information.
The garden is free and open to all.
