Walking Football – Peterborough United Foundation

Back to Activities

These walking football sessions are for men and women aged 18+, of any abilities and experiences, who want a bit of competition and a lot of fun! Peterborough United Foundation is the charity arm of the Peterborough United Football Club.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • It gives people of all abilities the chance to engage with fun activities
  • It gives the opportunity to create new friends
  • It is a chance to focus and engage with positive and supportive staff who are there to help and listen

The low impact nature of the sport means that it’s suitable for people with osteoarthritis and joint problems. It can also help you stay mobile as you get older: studies show that playing walking football can help prevent falls in older adults.

What to expect

To book, email or phone Emily Purbrick; she can also answer any questions you have.

Upon arrival you will need to sign in with Emily or another PUF staff member.
