The Soundabout Inclusive Choir for Peterborough youth is a welcoming musical community for children and young people of all abilities who enjoy singing/signing and/or playing musical instruments or using assisted technology. They also welcome volunteers.
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- it’s a lot of fun and gives you a creative outlet to channel any worries or anxiety
- it helps you to connect with others and make new friends who also love music
- it helps you to develop self-confidence as well as musical skills in a safe and non-judgemental space
‘Finding your group has been truly amazing as W is finally able to be himself and have fun doing the things he enjoys most: breathing and participating in music, whether he’s having a “good” or a “less good” day. What makes your group special is that everyone is equal and their contribution is celebrated wholeheartedly. And what’s even more amazing is that everyone is so talented in their own individual way.
