Back to Activities

Wakeboarding is like snowboarding on water or water-skiing, but sideways. WakePark teaches wakeboarding to total beginners through to national team members, using two cable towers to pull you, rather than boats. It's a great way to get fit and strong.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • learning a new skill is very rewarding and the learning curve is very quick, so every session you will feel like you mastered a new skill;
  • you are out exercising on a beautiful lake surrounded by nature, focused on an activity which clears your mind of everything else going on in your life;
  • it is an adrenaline sport that releases lots of natural endorphins, and intense exercise so you will probably feel a relaxing glow after your ride (and might get better sleep as a bonus)

‘Great place. Friendly. Professional. Great fun. And a good workout for kids and adults. Thanks for a great intro to wakeboarding.’

What to expect?

WakePark not only provide individually tailored tuition, they also hire equipment – everything you need for a great outdoor activity. You can sign up for instruction based on your skill level, or do a group booking for birthday parties, corporate days, or just a fun day out for friends.

You will have a skilled operator to yourself during your session, who will be able to give you advice to get you started while carefully tailoring the speed of cable so you get the perfect amount of pull for your skill and experience level. The lake includes a range of features to keep all levels of rider progressing in a safe fun environment.

The office and equipment are in a converted shipping container on site where you will be greeted by a friendly member of staff.

Book online or email them to discuss your requirements. If you would prefer, you can go have the staff help with the online booking system.
