Little Explorers at The Green Backyard in Peterborough is a nature playgroup for children up to the age of five.
This activity is good for wellbeing because
- playing helps children learn;
- being outside in nature has proven wellbeing benefits for all ages;
- friendships are made amongst the children as well as by parents and carers.

What to expect
This outdoor playgroup gets children (and their parents and carers) engaged in nature and creativity using recycled and sustainable materials. From arts, crafts, cooking, growing and other outdoor play, every session is different.
Little Explorers is aimed at children under the age of five, but home-schooled primary age children are also welcome, as are children with different needs and abilities.
Held every Thursday, 10.30am to 12 noon.

No need to book, just turn up for sessions which take place all year and in all weathers. Wear clothes suitable for being outdoors and that you won’t mind if they get dirty. Sessions are all outside, but can be under cover.
There’s limited parking at The Green Backyard, but there’s another carpark opposite and a bus stop close-by if you are using public transport. The gardens are accessible for wheelchair users and there’s a disabled toilet.
