Health Qigong with Hannah

Back to Activities

Qigong is a "moving meditation" and can be thought of as the sister to tai chi. This 3000 year old practice can have great health benefits and can be done sitting or standing, you only need comfortable clothes and water. Hannah leads classes both in person and online.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • It can calm the nervous system and reduce stress.
  • It can build muscle and flexibility within the body.
  • It helps you get an excellent night’s sleep.

“For the first time since 1997 my back didn’t hurt.”

Meet Hannah and hear her explain what her classes are like:

What to expect

Classes are completely beginner-friendly. Hannah has 5 years experience in qigong, and teaches people of all ages and abilities. You can do it in a chair or standing, and all you need is to wear some comfortable clothes you can move in, and bring a drink.

Places in the class must be booked via Hannah’s website, email, or on the phone.

If you are attending an in-person class, the venue is completely accessible.

Hannah also runs some live online classes. There is a calendar listing days, times, and costs of both online and in-person classes on her website.

You can rent videos of a couple of her classes to see if you like them on this webpage.

More information

Classes take place in person most weeks in Cambridge, and once per month in Market Deeping. See Hannah’s website for details of times and dates.

There are toilets inside the venues, and both have parking. The Darwin Nurseries venue is on a bus routes 11 and 12, and you can ask the driver to let you off outside the entrance. It’s also on a safe bicycle route. Both venues have bike racks.

Online and in-person classes have different costs; see her website or contact her for current information.
