What to expect
Adaptive strength training builds functional strength, mobility, and confidence in movement, supporting everyday independence and long-term physical wellbeing. This can be especially important for people with various disabilities and/or those needing rehabilitation after an injury.
Participants can expect a welcoming, inclusive training environment. Coach Dan will discuss your goals, experiences and limitations, and work with you to build sessions tailored to your individual needs and abilities, including any disabilities. Coaching focuses on safe movement, strength development, and confidence-building, with adaptations made as needed. No prior experience is required — just a willingness to take part at your own pace. If you bring along a carer, they can participate too (space permitting).
Achieving personal goals in a supportive environment increases self-belief, reduces stress, and promotes a positive relationship with exercise.
Training within an inclusive group or with a coach fosters community, social connection, and a sense of belonging — all key factors in overall wellbeing.
