Culture Community

Back to Activities

Culture Community is a Saturday school based in Peterborough that teaches Black history, culture and traditions to children and young people aged 8-16 years. They provide games and activities to support positive relationships.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • you build positive relationships with other local youth
  • you can gain confidence through games and activities
  • you can gain a sense of purpose and identity

“What I love about Culture Community is that I have met new people along the way. When I first came here, I knew no one, and I was a bit shy. But now I’ve met new people along the way, and it’s starting to feel so much better because we are all like family now. The staff are so nice and they make me feel very welcome as well. I also love how much effort that staff put in to make all the children able to get together and have fun.”
