Community Café – Eye

Back to Activities

The Community Café at Manor Farm Community Centre in Eye aims to help people to get out and about, meeting or making new friends for a chat. It's a cheerful, friendly place to meet and have a cuppa, cake or savoury roll.

This activity is good for wellbeing because

  • it’s a great way to meet and make friends
  • it’s a great way to feel part of the community
  • it’s a good reason to get out of the house

‘It’s a lovely place where you have time to be social. You don’t have the chance to sit and chat most of the rest of the time in your daily life.’

Meet Marion, who runs the community cafe:

What to expect?

The café is open every Monday 11am – 2pm. All ages are welcome, and you don’t have to live in Eye to attend. A mat with children’s toys, books, and colouring books is available for children to play.

A selection of cakes, cupcakes, and savoury rolls, freshly made by Marion, as well as tea and coffee, are available to purchase for a nominal fee to cover costs. Rolls and cakes can also be taken home for later! Marion has a food hygiene certificate.

Cards, also made by Marion, are available to buy which helps fund the café. Extra bits and Christmas cakes are also available to buy at Christmas time.
