Brents Boxing Peterborough is a Professional–Amateur boxing gym that welcomes all levels and abilities from age 9+. They are ABA-affiliated and professionally licensed. They offer a variety of sessions for different ages and abilities, and open gym times.

What to expect

Brents Boxing is Amateur Boxing Alliance (ABA)-affiliated and also professionally licensed by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC).

They welcome all levels and abilities, including people who have never boxed before. Classes are structured to incorporate a mix of footwork, defence and fitness, and include:

  • personal training (1:1 sessions)
  • junior boxing classes (ages 9 - 15)
  • senior boxing classes (ages 16+)
  • women's only boxing (may be led by a male coach, for ages 9+)
  • open gym sessions

All classes are led by qualified ABA coaches, who are DBS-checked, and have First Aid and Young Adult Safeguarding training.

Brents Boxing is also home to Apollo Amateur Boxing Club of Peterborough, for people who want to take part in boxing competitions.

More information

There is limited parking in front of the unit, and along side roads. There is a nearby bus stop on Lincoln Road.

The venue is wheelchair accessible, but the toilet is not.

Because of limited space, spectators and parents are unable to stay to watch.

There is tea, coffee, and water available.

All other classes and sessions have a fee, which is listed when you book a class session and paid for online when booking (after you register), or you can contact them and ask. Sessions can be paid for individually, or you can pay a set price for a whole month.
